The Symposium offers an extensive slate of educational and networking opportunities. Several sessions are offered in the one day event. The sessions cover a broad scope of treasury issues affording participants the opportunity to gain insight from their professional peers on how different businesses approach treasury issues.

Educational Forum - CTP Certification

The Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is an examination-based certification and is widely regarded by treasury managers as one of the leading credentials in the field, reflecting an extremely high standard of professionalism. The CTP certification is offered by the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP). Information regarding the certification and the exam may be found at http://www.afponline.org/.

The SFTMA encourages everyone to become a CTP, by taking the certification exam.  For a period of over 15 years, in order to help candidates to prepare for the CTP examination, the SFTMA CTP Study Group Chairmen, in conjunction with local financial institutions organize two study groups in March and September.

Certified Treasury Professionals can earn one CTP continuing education credit for attending qualified SFTMA monthly meetings where a speaker is present.  In addition, the annual Symposium (www.sftreasurysymposium) will offer additional CTP renewal credits for attendance as well..
